March 2022 Gathering
On March 14, 2022. FCAA hosted a compelling artist talk with Craig Cavin entitled Gyotaku, Frottage, and Monoprints: Visually Sampling Our World.
Craig began his studies in Fine Art at Webster College in 1970. His education post-Webster includes Horticulture, Tropical Agriculture, and Plant Pathology at Maui Community College and the University of Hawaii. He earned his Master's Degree in Environmental Biology at Hood College.
Influences from his 30-year career as a Biological Technician and Biologist can be seen in his art. Cavin’s Current work is heavily inspired by observations of Natural phenomena. Craig shares a studio share a studio at the Griffin Art Center in Frederick, Maryland.
